A Payout is the actual cross-border transaction that takes your local currency fiat payment and sends the funds to the receiver's designated bank account
You can fund a payout by either sending fund to the bank account provided in the response of the create payout query. Or by using the mobile money funding if you are located in :

- Kenya : M-PESA
- Ghana : MTN, Vodafone
- Tanzania: Airtel, Tigo
Payout Statuses
You can check the status of a payout by using the endpoint : GET /payouts/payout_id .
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| SCHEDULED | The payout is created and waiting for the initial funds to enter the processing status |
| PROCESSING | We have received the initial funds and are processing the payout |
| COMPLETED | The payout is completed and the funds have been sent to the receiver's bank account |
| FAILED | A grouping of multiple terminal states that prevented the transaction from completing. This includes a a user-cancellation, approval being denied, insufficient funds, failed verifications, etc |
